Articles
This page gathers essays, studies, and longer-form work exploring the theological logic that runs from Genesis to Paul.
The material here is not arranged chronologically, but structurally. Each section reflects a distinct level of the argument, moving from creation, to apostolic theology, to wider doctrinal implications.
Genesis Foundations
These studies examine Genesis 1–2 as the theological source of relational order, image, and glory. They argue that Paul’s categories of authority, distinction, and mutuality presuppose a creation logic established prior to sin, law, or redemption.
Selected studies will be linked here.
Genesis 1–2 as the Source of Paul’s Relational Theology
Genesis 2: One-Out-of-the-Other and the Grammar of Relation
Paul’s Relational Theology
This section explores how Paul receives and deploys Genesis theology across his letters—especially in passages concerning headship, obedience, submission, worship, and ecclesial order.
The emphasis is on Paul’s assumed metaphysic, not later theological overlays.
Selected studies will be linked here.
1 Corinthians 8 and Relational Monotheism
1 Corinthians 11: Creation, Glory, and Relational Order
Ephesians 5: Christ, the Church, and the Shape of Ordered Love
Colossians 1: Christ, Creation, and the Coherence of Reality
Creation Groaning, Creation Restored – Romans 8 and the Shape of Resurrection
Genesis 3: Disorder, Distortion, and Life Outside Reality
Baseline articles are listed here. Some include optional technical companions, linked at the end of the article.
Trinitarian & Metaphysical Implications
These essays consider how relational order in creation and redemption informs Trinitarian theology, particularly questions of procession, taxis, unity, and distinction.
Engagement with classical categories is careful and restrained, seeking coherence rather than speculation.
Selected studies will be linked here.
Ongoing & Integrative Work
This section contains material still in development: project notes, draft essays, integrative reflections, and links to talks or videos connected to the Genesis2Paul project.
Not all work here is final, but all of it reflects the same underlying theological direction.
Technical Companions
Some articles on this site include links to Technical Companions. These pieces do not introduce new arguments or additional requirements for understanding the main material. They exist to explain the underlying structure that the primary articles already assume, for readers who wish to go deeper. If you do not wish to go deeper, you can safely skip them and still grasp the core argument of the site.
